I evaluate some hands from the Pokerstrategy Forums

It’s been a while since my last post. In today’s video, I look at some hands posted by Pokerstrategy members and I evaluate them on the spot while giving some additional commentary. It gets a little messy when I’m trying to say what I’m thinking and type it out at the same time but overall I think the video is decent enough to follow.

Future Video Ideas
-I play some new game formats (like 2-7 TD or Stud or LHE), do a little research and try to approach it from a NLHE cash player’s perspective-Q&A about Poker Theory

In fact I think I’ll just leave this thread open for a Q&A and I won’t answer here but in the next video. Feel free to ask anything poker-related and I’ll get to it when there are enough questions to make a video.

You once told me, that before I make another stab at 50nl, get a poker coach, do some research. I have, and I found one from a community I use, and he kinda “knew” me, and said he’d never really had a student, and it sounded fun, and he plays 3-4 stakes over me, and he said he’d make is super cheap, since I can’t afford much. So far so good.

Now, this week im suppose to find questions and get ready, so that Ican get the most of him.

You got any ideas on how to get the most out of my time with a coach? (He said he had several hundred k hands from when he used to play 50nl and 100nl, so felt he had a good grasp on the bad regs, good regs, and how to be solid there).

I have a note pad, and I’ve written down a few things I’m curious about, things such as:

    – Best way to multi table on stars? (I’ve tinkered around with tiled, overlapping tiled, stacked, cascade, and i kinda like all ,but they all seem to have drawbacks and positives, wonder if there’s something that most “pro’s” use, cos its just better overal for ur game. Also learned to use a few hotkeys

    – Best video coaches, who should I study religiously, what site, series, in what orders etc, what topics most important for someone around my level?

    – Best use of my time?

    – Best equity, play around with tool?

    – Lowest 2 cards we isolate weaker players in the blinds?

    – Difference between raise 1st stat and pfr from each of the position, i don’t understand why they are different, in the pop up, and the normal pfr from each position, shouldnt they be the same?

    – How to best use HEM2 after a session, to spot mistakes and leaks, often im not sure where to look, what stats you check, and where should they be, and stuff like that (maybe a bit to general lol)

Hey I know this is off topic but I was wondering if you knew of
any widgets I could add to my blog that automatically tweet my newest twitter updates.
I’ve been looking for a plug-in like this for quite some time and was hoping maybe you would have some experience with something like this.
Please let me know if you run into anything. I truly enjoy reading your blog and I look forward to your new updates.
